A Little About Us
We are a small recording studio based in Chapel Hill, NC. We hope to provide an inviting atmosphere for local musicians and artists to obtain a tangible and lasting product that represents their own personal expression.
We do this by providing quality hardware, software, talent, and a laid-back atmosphere conducive to creativity. You won’t feel any pressure at Fenario - only a support team who wants to help you capture the sounds you’ve been hearing in your head. In fact, we may even provide you with a home cooked meal while your here…
We may not have the top-dollar equipment found in the larger studios, but we do have the professional level tools needed to achieve professional level results. And we have the talent to make it happen. For those inquiring technical types, we record everything direct to disk, through our Mac-based Logic Studio setup. We currently have 10 simultaneous recording channels available, so live recording of small ensembles is possible. There is a dedicated live room and isolation booths. We have an eclectic variety of instruments on hand, along with a good selection of ‘new-fangled’ virtual instruments (software-based).
Our rates are reasonable and our engineer is willing. And we can help produce your material if needed. When your sessions are complete we can provide you with a disc of all tracks in Logic/OMF/AIFF/WAV format, or we can mix a final product for you. Whether you just feel you’d like to finally have a fully-realized version of that song you’ve been playing on your porch for years to give to friends and family, or you need a quality demo of your original music to shop around, or you’re ready to start tracking your next major release - we are here to help.
We found a house in Chapel Hill almost six years ago, set up shop, and decided to take advantage of the amazing wave of new, affordable, digital technology available for audio recording. And we set out to acquire the skills to use it all properly (a major requirement). And now we want to share what we’ve created with the community. So please, contact us for more information. We’ll have a sit down on the porch, drink a beer (or wine, or coffee, or tea) and discuss your next great project. Porch sitting is free, by the way.
